Carriage Mounted Spreader Bar
Carriage Mounted Spreader Bars - As the name implies, this particular mast includes 3 sections. The external section mounts securely to the lift truck. The next middle section telescopes inside of the outside part. The inmost section telescopes in the middle section. The inner part and the middle part both raise while the lift cylinders lengthen. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides within the inner part. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height compared to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas such as doorways where overhead clearances are restricted. This mast is usually equipped with a center cylinder to be able to let the fork carriage elevate several distance before the mast sections commence extension.
There are two main parts in a 2 Stage Mast. The outer section of the mast is affixed to the lift vehicle. The inner part sits within the outer part and raises when the cylinders lengthen. The fork carriage is located in the internal part. This particular mast type has a taller lowered height as opposed to an equivalent 3 stage mast or lift height quad mast.
